A Very Murdy Christmas: Amazing Gifts For Your Favorite A-Team Fan

A very Murdy Christmas, and a Crazy New Year!
“Traaaaaashbags! I want traaaaaashbags!” ~H.M. Murdock, “Pros and Cons” (Thanks to Thatkliqkid for the beautiful wallpaper)

Let me start this post by saying that while my plans are decidedly NOT coming together today, I’m still on the hunt for some last-minute Christmas presents. And since so many of my recipients this year are fellow A-Team fans, I thought I might do a list of fantasy gifts for every fan out there. Mind you, many of these you *can* actually purchase, and for a good price. It wouldn’t be a Murdy Christmas without a little TAT cheer. I wouldn’t mind getting some of these myself (hint, hint!) So, without further ado, I give you:

#1: The Customized Murdock Jacket

I love it when a jacket comes together!

Every Murdock fan wants one of these. They look great with a blue ballcap and Converse hi-tops. The good thing is, a good friend of mine actually custom-makes these for the cost of the painting and the jacket. They are incredible, hand-painted works of art, not some cheap off-the-rack thing. When you wear one of these, you start to feel a bit Howling Mad. Check out her work under AJ’s A-2s, not to mention all the testimonials! The ultimate gift for a Murdock fan.
#2: The A-Team Blu-Ray Extended Edition

I love it when a DVD comes together!

Let’s face it, this is the DVD release of the season for A-Team fans, even if it is a few months late. I’m buying it just for the 30 minutes of extra footage and the blooper reel. If only they’d included the infamous Murdock audition tape…
#3: The A-Team Metal Lunchbox

Keeps your milk cold, fool!

Ah, I miss the good old days of retro metal lunchboxes emblazoned with pop culture figures! This one is kind of a Holy Grail; mint sets go for $100 or so. (You can tell it’s from the 80s because it’s a product designed for kids featuring guys waving around automatic weapons.)
#4: The A-Team Blanket (aka The A-Team Snuggie)
These are also hard to find. Mr. Bean had one in the Dentist episode. If I ever find one at a good price, I plan on making it into a Snuggie. The only reason for this is that it would actually be too small to fit on my bed.
#5: Mr. T’s “Be Somebody…Or Be Somebody’s Fool!” Album

Sadly, never followed by a sequel.

It’s vinyl, which means I already love it. This is Mr. T’s attempt at being a (sort of) rapper back in the day, and contains the hit single “Treat Your Mother Right (Treat Her Right)”. Who wouldn’t want this for Christmas, or for any other day, fool?
#6: The A-Team Van Rental Gift Certificate

Maybe you can hire...

Did we need further proof that the Brits are still cooler, pop culture-wise, than the Americans? They have not one, but two of these fullscale replica beauties for hire for your next wedding, party, or special event. And yes, they do have gift cards available. What A-Team fan wouldn’t want to take a ride around in this? (Unfortunately, fans aren’t allowed to drive the van.) And on that same note…
#7 The Scenic Helicopter Ride

Soaring, soaring, soaring...

If we can’t take an actual helicopter flight with an authentic howling mad pilot, this is the next best thing. Most cities and scenic areas (the Grand Canyon, Hawaii, the Caribbean) offer these packages.
And who knows? Maybe if we’re on the nice list, we’ll get all seven. If the MPs don’t catch up to us first.
Merry Murdy Christmas to all my dear A-Team friends…may you get all the Twinkies you can eat, Woody Woodpecker cartoons 24/7 and no lumps of coal from Col. Decker. Oh, and no Jessica Biel if and when “The A-Team 2” comes out.

  1. I love all of these items….except for one, but we don’t need to get into that at this time. πŸ™‚

  2. What an awesome list! haha. It would certainly make me and my A-Team friend incredibly happy. Love the helicopter ride, too–that’s the best part.
Can’t wait for those 30 minutes of extra footage lol.
    Merry Christmas, Miz!
