Super Boxing Day Edition: 1000 Comment Contest Spectacular!

Hang on, everybody…I’m gonna try something I saw in a cartoon once! ~Murdock, “The A-Team” (2010)

I am a raving looney...what's new?

Christmas is over. Boxing Day is here. I know what you’re thinking…everything is pretty much gonna suck until a) your birthday, b) your next vacation, or c) the date when your locale begins to thaw next spring. This doesn’t have to be so! You see, here at P&Q, we saved something really, really cool for that inevitable post-Yule hangover.

Right now I stand at exactly 999 comments all-time for P&Q. I decided to make something fun out of it. A lot of companies are doing this on Facebook and I decided to get in too. Here’s how it works: everyone who leaves a comment on this particular post will be randomly entered to win an actual prize from yours truly. Not a virtual prize or a piece of virtual art…but something mailed to you courtesy of the Howling Mad Express. How cool is that? I’ll be sure to notify the winner and ask a little about his/her taste so I can figure out what the prize will be.

The contest will be left open until I head out of town this weekend for some New Year’s R&R. All comments posted from now until midnight on Dec. 31 (that’s the last gasp of 2011, local time) will be entered to win the incredible prize. All you gotta do is leave a comment…how much you enjoy reading P&Q, what 2011 has been like for you, an Elizabethan sonnet about lemurs, whatever you like. Just be sure it’s on this post and not one of the others. Just clicking “Like” won’t do it…actually gotta leave a time-stamped comment. No need to leave your real name or mailing address…if you win I’ll PM you and we’ll settle it from there.

Sound like fun? Well, P&Q readers, what are you waiting for? Have at it!

Ooh, a contest? Sign me up!

Don’t forget to click “Like” and subscribe to P&Q so you can stay in the perpetual madness loop!

  1. I just got here off brainrants and apparently not a moment too soon. Look at me, comment 1000! Piss on you, loyal p&q readers! I rode in and carpetbagged this badboy. Hahaha!

  2. Howling Mad Express? Awesome! That has something to do with a helicopter and a zip line, right?

  3. Yaaahoooo! I concur with EllieAnn-a Helicopter and a zip line sounds fab! Anyhoo, many congrats on your blog HMHeather! (in the words of the original A-Team’s Hannibal Smith and Howlin’ Mad Murdock “It’s been fun – more importantly – it’s been educational!”
