My Thank-You to My Readers

Those who write clearly have readers. Those who write obscurely have commentators. ~Albert Camus

For those of us in the United States, next week is Thanksgiving. To make sure it’s not all just food, family and football this year (which it will be, with Bonus Family Members), I’m trying something different. This is a variation on the amazing Susie Lindau’s “Use Me and Abuse Me Day.” All credit goes to her and I hope she won’t mind if I slightly alter the idea.

I’m so grateful to have all my readers. Not only am I flattered, but humbled by how many readers choose to spend even a small part of their busy day reading P&Q. That means the world to me, and I want to give back.

I want to dedicate an entire post to my readers’ work. Anyone is welcome to send a link to a past blog post, a short new post, a piece of artwork, a video, or anything else your mind can think of. I’d like to gather all the submissions by next Tuesday so I can prepare and edit them for Thanksgiving on Thursday. To encourage you guys even more (like you needed it to begin with, because my readers are so awesome), I’ll send a cool prize to a random blogger who sends me a post.

The sky’s really the limit for this one, as I’ll be sure to post all the links together. It’s the least I can do for all the amazing bloggers and artists I’ve gotten to know in the last two years.

Thanks to all of you…you are the reason I enjoy blogging so much! Send your submissions to the site mascot and I in the comments or at by next Tuesday!
